Califur 2009 Events

This is the exciting slate of what we have for 2009:

SPECIAL EVENTS

•  2 the Ranting Gryphon - Comedy Show

  He's back! And fresh from the outback with new tales to tell. You don't want to miss this event and certainly don't show up late. And for the love of baby-back ribs put away the cell-phone.

•  20 Years of Furry Conventions

  Ever wonder where this word "Furry" came from? Well, meet some of the very first furs of the modern fandom. Hear stuff you wont find on the History channel straight from the ones who were there in this special celebration celebrating 20 years and counting. We promise there wont be any stories involving onions on belts (which we hear was the fashion at the time).

•  Caberet Fur le Dance

  Back agan this year is the famous Caberet. Be teased and tantalized in this Califur exclusive event. Adults Only!

•  Pet Auction

  If you're in the market for pet or are a pet in need of a master, this is the place to go.

• And Much, Much, More!

  We're adding events all the time and we're always looking to surprise. So you'll just have to come on by to find out about them all.

ALL WEEKEND

• Treasure Hunt:
  Over the last few years the Califur treasure hunt has been a success and now become a tradition. This year will be no different. Well, except for the bigger game, harder challenges, and that pesky chance of being eaten. Check back later for more details.

• Special Interest Groups (SIGs):
  Discussion panels that tackle a wide range of topics of interest to the fandom including: Animation, body painting, books, Christian furries, felines, furotica, furry drawing, fursuiting, hoofers, greymuzzles, live gaming, mustelids, pagan furries, puppetry, reptiles, Second Life, wolves, video shooting (try not to pop) and more!
• Art Show:
  We're still growing and aim to bring top notch furry artists to you at prices worth competing for!
• Artists' Alley:
  A place to sit down and draw for your fans, or perhaps pick up a commission or two.
• Dealers Den:
  In the Ballroom, a smorgasbord of goods that you will scarcely find anywhere but here.
• Gaming Room:
  We'll be offering round-the-clock gaming ranging from IronClaw RPGs to Dance Dance Revolution.
• Video Room:
  This screening room will be open for you night owls out there, showing everything from classic television shows to cartoons to feature films.
