One reason why its important to get your work in early is to allow for enough time to act to unexpected problems.
Steve Martin found this out the hard way when his art came in above our rating and far too late to change.
In a panicked attempt to keep a page from the conbook from being blank, we enlisted the help of an
Edis Krad to
help us censor Steve's work back into rating
while poking a bit of fun in the process.
The irony was deliciously evil.

This was a time when themes were an afterthought. So you'll have a hard time finding one in here.
Notice though that the cover art for the conbook was done by Steve Martin. And by Confurence 3, the conbook size had grown to a whopping 32 pages!

The first furry conventions came from oversized furry parties that and side events at larger Sci-Fi conventions. So it's little wonder that, in the beginning, there were some famous Sci-Fi names that came to be Guests of Honor. At this convention it was

It looks like furries will continue to be represented on the warfront as is seen in this up-coming japanese release (with english subtitles)*.
