"Welcome to our webpage, we are a new, smaller con that hopes to be the con you all want. People told us it could never be done. Plan a furry convention with no budget in almost no time? "Ha! Impossible!" they said. Well, we proved them wrong. We had another Banner Year with 383 Memberships... who could have Thunk it, and now we'll go for more next year so welcome Southern California, this after all is YOUR con. Just remember, even if you can't attend, please buy a supporting membership. You'll be doing your part to make sure the convention is around for many years to come."

You've Got Updates!

Welcome to the new Califur website, We decided an update was in order to have something that more matched our theme.

This website has some improved items for you: one, our new forums, which are accessed by going to http://forum.califur.com, and just a note, if you registered in our old forums, you need to re-register in the new forum, also our registration system is completely new and updated, so now is a good as time as ever to register, just a reminder, our rates for PreReg are now 40 Dollars, that still a 5 dollar savings from paying at the door.

We have also updated our webpage to focus on new staff members who have come on board, and our Contact Us page, so you can contact departments directly.

Here we go again!

Califur.1 is LIVE!, We have some important announcements to make: We have our dates, May 20-23rd, 2005, and we have our new location. For information about our hotel, the Holiday Inn Costa Mesa, head on over to the Hotel Info page. Our theme for Califur.1 is "Welcome to the Islands", a cross between the Spontoon Islands and "Blue Hawaii". We are pleased to announce Brian Wear as our Artist Guest of Honor, and Ken Fletcher as our Special Guest of Honor.

Our goal here at Califur is to provide a safe and fun environment for all furs who wish to come. This convention will be a relaxacon of sorts. We are not planning to be a very large convention, we just want to be a fun convention. We want to be the convention that people look forward to every year, not for large amounts of programming, but for the room parties and the great furs to meet and talk to. Of course, that doesn't mean we don't have programming. It just means our programming track is small enough that you can see everything without feeling rushed or busy.
