Programming

Although Califur is a new furrycon, we feel compelled to offer the best of furry for you in our programming. From our guests of honor to our many other events, we need to offer you the most for your convention dollar. This in mind, this is what we have lined up for you this year.

Guest of Honor - 2, The Ranting Gryphon, in his first West Coast appearance this year, will be our Guest of Honor, doing not one folks, but two shows, just for you!
Guest of Honor - FoxxFire will be our second Guest of Honor, and will be featured in our meet and greet and a panel of prominent artists.
Guests of Honor - John and Rachel Cawley (A.K.A. TopFox and Cataroo). John will be involved in a variety of programming at Califur.
Guest of Honor - Jefferson Swycaffer - Jefferson is a Science Fiction author with more then 8 novels to his a name, he has been featured in Fur Kindred several times, and will be participating in a a panel on writing.
Sublevel 3 – Sublevel 3, a furry band, playing in the genre of Electronica, will be playing on saturday night.
The Califur Good Time Story Hour – (A.K.A. The names have not been changed to protect the innocent.) - We all have “Con Stories,” some good, some bad, some damn funny. Now it’s your turn to tell them!
The Furum – The Furum is something New, yet old to a Southern California con. It is a Place that will be open 24 hours a day for furs to hang out, draw, and basically do whatever, sort of like a house party at the middle of a convention.
Video Room – Right off the Furum, is the movie room, a place that will always be open for you night owls out there, showing everything from anime to horror flicks and even a special, late-night screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
The Cabaret – A Southern California original, the Caberet has come back this year with new people, and we are proud to have them. They will be raising money this year for the Moonridge Animal Park in Big Bear Lake, California. The zoo is currently facing the loss of their lease and needs to raise 10 million dollars by 2009. Variety! - Showcasing the best performances and skits that that furry has to offer!
Special Interest Groups (SIG's) – A few that are already in planning - “Funny Animals: A History of the Furry Fandom”, “What Would You Do If You Woke Up With A Tail?”, and many, many more.
Art Show – Our Art Show, although small, will be trying to bring the best from new furry artists to you at reasonable prices.
Dealers Den – A Dealers' Room stocked with goods you will scarcely find anywhere but here.
Artists' Alley – A place to sit down to draw for your fans, or perhaps pick up a commission or two.
Gaming Room – In the Sunset Lounge we will be offering 24 hour gaming with everything from D&D to Monopoly.
And more than we have space to write!
